Thank you and congratulations to Director of Finance and Facilities, Steve Harman, on his retirement

We want to recognize and honor Steve Harman as he retires from St. Francis de Sales High School! Steve came to SFDS in 2008 after retiring from his work in public schools with 23 years in administration. While at SFDS, Steve first taught science for 5 years and then when the school had an immediate need for a finance administrator, Steve agreed to help out and stepped into his role in the business office as Director of Finance and Facilities. Steve also served on the Discipline Board and coached boys soccer for several years. Steve previously taught at Compton Heights Catholic School in St Louis, Morgan Park Academy and Mendel in Chicago, and was principal at St. Teresa School in Kankakee, IL. The school is gone but it was where he met and married his wife Pat. They raised their family there and still live in Kankakee. “I will carry with me many fond memories of SFDS staff, students, and parents.” said Steve, “My plans for retirement are to visit our spread out family more frequently and maybe do all the yard projects on my to do list. Maybe. Thanks and best wishes to all of you.” Steve will be missed and we want to thank him for his years of teaching, coaching and managing the finances of St. Francis de Sales High School!
