Hope springs eternal at St. Francis de Sales High School! We are looking forward to the 2018 graduating class receiving their diplomas on May 23! Through their hard work and academic achievements, they are being accepted into prestigious colleges and are receiving between $14,000 and $164,000 per year in scholarship support - totaling $1.25 million and counting overall. We are so proud!
Because of your support, our students are flourishing. As we look forward to warmer weather, we're reminded to continue to challenge ourselves and provide the best possible education for the youth on East Side of Chicago. You may have recently learned of the launch of a feasibility study, exploring the implementation of a Work Study Program at St. Francis de Sales High School.This shift would enable students to work in the business community, gaining valuable real-world experience while maintaining the same high quality level of academics. TheWork Study model, launched by Cristo Rey in Pilsen in the 1990's, has proven enormous outcomes for students. We're encouraged to already have several small businesses and jobs confirmed - it's a very exciting time to be a Pioneer! Attention St. Francis de Sales High School Families and Prospective Families: There is additional funding for Tax Credit Scholarships through the Big Shoulders Fund available to families interested in attending St. Francis de Sales HS. Because funding is very limited, applications will only be open for a short period and only to families interested in schools like St. Francis de Sales High School that have available donor-restricted funding.
Big Shoulders Fund applications will open on April 30 at 10am and close on May 1 at 10PM.
