We are most pleased to welcome Mr. Joshua Hale, President and CEO of the Big Shoulders Fund as our graduation speaker. The Big Shoulders Fund is our largest donor. The Big Shoulders Fund raises $18-20 million annually and has a $45 million endowment to support 77 schools (64 elementary and 13 high schools) serving 20,000 students. Annual investments are focused on scholarships and student enrichment, operational management, academic and professional development programs, leadership development, and an adopt-a-school program.
Mr. Hale is also involved with numerous professional and philanthropic organizations. He was a fellow in the Leadership Greater Chicago program and an inaugural member of the Chicago Council on Global Affairs’ Emerging Leaders Program. Currently, Mr. Hale serves on the Executive Committee of the School Board for the Archdiocese of Chicago, the Forums Committee of the Economic Club of Chicago, the Board of Directors of The Irish Fellowship Club of Chicago, the Board of Directors of Amerigo, and the Next Generation Ad Hoc Committee of the Chicago Council on Global Affairs. Mark Twain once said:
"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."
It is in that spirit of exploration and discovery, that we provide students the opportunity to not just temporarily visit new countries or new landscapes, but to forever view the world with new eyes.
Your student can know what it truly means to be a Pioneer by giving them the opportunity to explore and discover new lands and cultures. It is not too late to enroll! We plan our student tours up to two years in advance so families can take advantage of the low monthly payments. The extended period of time also allows families, who prefer to make manual payments, set up a payment plan that will fit their budget. However, the longer you wait to enroll, the less time you will have to pay off the trip.
If you are interested in enrolling your student on the tour to London, Paris, and Rome, click on the link below and enroll today!
If you have questions about the trip or if you are interested in attending an informational meeting, please contact Ms. Serrano at 773-731-7272 ext 308.
