St. Francis de Sales High School admits students of any race, color, national, and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, nationality, and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs. We advocate equal opportunity, not to make our students the same but to encourage them to become individuals— that is, to realize personal potential in body, mind and spirit. The admission of a freshman student to St. Francis de Sales High School is determined after the consideration of the following criteria:
Freshmen are placed in a curriculum appropriate for their skills and potential, as a result of the Placement Exam, as well as a review of their seventh and eighth grade records and standardized test results supplied by their grammar schools. Placement in a curriculum level can be changed relative to each student’s performance on a semester by semester basis. Scholarships are awarded based upon the January placement exam. |
