Mr. Harman's Home Page Welcome to the home page for my classes. I teach Environmental Science, Physics, and Physical Science. I also coach Boys' Soccer in the fall. In science, we learn to know and appreciate the world around us from analytic and experimental perspectives. In all classes, my goal is to guide students to an up to date understanding of past and recent discoveries in the areas of science covered by the course, the cutting edge of what is happening today, and how scientific principles and knowledge can be used to inform and assist in all fields and aspects of life. We hope to foster the same attitude of inquiry which motivated the pioneers and pathfinders in science over the ages. We will be catching up on several thousand years of scientific discovery and maybe even come to new understandings ourselves! General Class Expectations 1. Arrive in the classroom on time with required books and materials. 2. Respect and maintain the learning atmosphere and the rights of other students to learn. 3. Sit in assigned seat. 4, Follow the directions of the instructor (usually me!) 5. Use safe laboratory procedures. 6. Sharpen pencils and get tissue quietly as needed 7. Ask permission to leave classroom (for restroom, drink, etc.) outside of group instruction times whenever possible. 8. Hand in all assignments on time 9. Do your best.
