Academics
Education begins with a solid foundation,
but flourishes in a friendly, more personal
environment. Our student to teacher ratio of 14:1
provides students with the individual attention needed to
thrive—in the classroom, in the community, and later, in the
world. Accredited by the North Central Association of Schools
and Colleges, St. Francis de Sales’ academic program is guided
by standards designed to provide a competent faculty, and a
variety of instructional strategies, which allow each student to
be successful. Our goal is to provide an educational and religious
environment
in which young men and women:
- Develop Christian values.
- Obtain necessary skills to pursue higher education.
- Learn to respect cultural and ethnic diversity on all levels.
- Become responsible citizens.
The departments of Art, Technical Graphics, English, Foreign
Language, Mathematics, Theology, Science and Social Studies
each offer comprehensive, four-year programs.
Our commitment to intellectual achievement is evident in the
excellence of our teachers and their superior credentials.
Representing almost 500 years of classroom experience, our
25-person faculty is dedicated to the high standards of Catholic
education. Fifty percent have been part of the St. Francis
de
Sales community for a decade or more—nearly 30 percent
have
earned Masters’ Degrees. Our teachers often reject more
lucrative financial opportunities to support the vital traditions
of an educational community proud of its past and excited
about its future.
