President's Corner

Dear Parents and Students,

We are very excited to welcome back the classes of 2008, 2009, and 2010! We are pleased that a much larger than last year freshman class of 2011 will be joining our student body. The St. Francis "experience" includes much more than excellent academics. Our students are given the opportunity to participate
in countless activities through athletics, clubs and student organizations.

Returning students will notice some significant differences in technology this year. Over the summer through a large grant, we began work to provide internet access and additional technology tools for every classroom in the building. This is in keeping with our constant quest to provide our students with the "tools" and the skills to use them that they will need in college and in life.

I want to extend my personal thanks to the fine faculty and staff who are returning from last year, and to new teachers and staff hired over the summer who I know will be equally dedicated, hard working and capable. Your students are blessed to have these terrific people in their lives.

We are all part of a rich tradition that began 112 years ago. For the last 50 years, this building has been home to St. Francis de Sales High School. There will be a number of celebrations related to that fact, and we will be planning for the next 50.

Parents and guardians, all of us appreciate the sacrifices you make in order to invest in your child’s future through St. Francis de Sales. We are confident that you will realize how much this investment pays off.
